My Story

CoolBird Studios was established in my living room March of 2013 in a little quaint town called Goodwater, AL. I never wanted to be a business owner and preferred to just move up the corporate ladder.  I worked as a Business Manager, Program Director and Human Resource professional in sectors like Retail, Nonprofit, Manufacturing, and Healthcare.  It was May 2012, just before my oldest son's  high school graduation that I was asked to come to the office.  I was handed a gold envelope and told that I needed to leave the building immediately and if they needed to call the police to escort me out, they would. In the matter of minutes my life was crumbled like a sheet of paper...I lost everything; so I thought.

Moving towards the future was hard and even looked impossible. For 3 years I was in the house without a car and no positive feedbacks for a job. I was unemployed and without a car for 3 years with an MBA in business administration. One day I was sitting in my backyard and I asked God what was He going to do with me and all I heard was, "All of those things you used for your glory use them for mine and teach my people entrepreneurship." I had no clue where to start. Needless to say, it was a long and rigorous journey, but I made it and still traveling on this journey.  It's been nearly 13 years since the Holy Spirit dressed me brilliantly and showed me how to use my gifts and talents to help teach His people.

The Genesis

CoolBird Studios, formerly CoolBird Marketing initially began providing marketing, editing, and proofreading services. In 2015, I expanded my services and launched CoolBird Publishing House, a full service publishing company. By 2021, I opened a 1200 sq ft brick-and-mortar and was able to house all of my services, even a business incubator.  The incubator provided the Bloom Program, a framework teaching new entrepreneurs the ecosystem of entrepreneurship.  The program provided classes and office space for qualified participants. In 2022, I expanded my services again to include brand development, photography, and professional makeovers, empowering entrepreneurs to enhance their social and professional presence. As of 2025, I have shifted my focus to brand development, publishing  and my podcast,  "The Assignment.
